3 Good Things (again)

As it can take a looong time for faults to be remedied, I thought this could fill in for now?

1.  My Vabysmo eye injection this afternoon at the hospital.

2.  I wore my 'hidden disabilities' thingy around my neck.

3.  Home and having a curry tonight Blush

    1. Saw my niece and step dog at the weekend.
    2. The dog is really sweet and knows to make the most of us when we visit, sitting on our laps rather than her owners.
    3. My niece asked me a billion questions about Star Wars.
  • 1. Was able to sit in the garden yesterday afternoon because it was so nice.

    2. Heard the birds singing.

    3. Watched Grease last night.

  • 1. Hand washed some "working" gloves......so they don't make my hands smell like donkey!

    2. Wiped down the side of the fridge-freezer cupboard.....those grease marks have been bugging me for months!

    3. Roast chicken remains from LAST Sunday, deliciously consumed in a beetroot, rocket & salt sandwich.  Construction and layering of the constituent parts is KEY to success.  "Use the WHOLE bird, throw nowt, out!"

    4. Resisted the addition of Mayo.

  • 1. Finished off the clothes, hung up to dry, in the tumble dryer.

    2. Used the Air Fryer, for Breakfast and Dinner, while having Woodburn Pizza, from the Trailer a hundred yards away, for Lunch.

    3. Went to a Fellowship Church, for the First time, with view of attending Sunday Evening services.

  • Good morning Desmond.

Your 3 Good Things (Redux) thread is merely "hidden" rather than "disappeared."  Phew ?!

    You can still find it and post within in........but no one will ever know.....unless they actively look for it via the search bar function above = just type in the following search term [exactly] and it comes up in the results;

    -----

    3 Good Things (Redux)

    ------

However, when a post is made there, for God-only-knows reason, the thread does not then come up on the home page - ie it is a bit like SHOUTING INTO THE DARK !!  Your thread is not the only only being "hidden" in this way.

The functionality of this forum is now utterly appalling - completely FUBAR !

    We have the Kafkaesque setting here now, which can be itemised as follows;

1..Posts are being "disappeared" without explanation

2..Threads are being "hidden" without explanation

3..Private Messages are evidently not so "private" after all

4..The "powers that be" do not seem to wish (or perhaps feel unable to) communicate with us, the members, regarding these things above.  We are kept in the dark......and occasionally hit with a stick....to remind us they are there....somewhere.....doing something.....in the dark?!

  • Have the song "Golden Years" by David Bowie in my head. Great song. Maybe it's because I'm in my "Golden years" of retirement!

(I miss our song lyrics game Debbie ...

I find that song very moving and it's in my top 3 Bowie songs.

I miss that game too but I think it triggers the spam monster, sadly.

    1. Bought eggs at an Honesty Box.

    2. Attended a Month's Mind Mass; this evening.

    2. Finished watching Ghostbusters afterlife - really enjoyed it - a touching tribute to Harold Ramis and great to see all the other original actors in their roles again.

    3. Have the song "Golden Years" by David Bowie in my head. Great song. Maybe it's because I'm in my "Golden years" of retirement!

.....Don't let me hear you say life's taking you nowhere...

.....In walked luck and you looked in time, never look back, walk tall, act fine...)

  • Mu husband tends to sing that the morning after a curry :-D

  • Thanks for re-starting this Debbie!

    1. Went for a walk in the beautiful spring like weather yesterday and got everything we needed at the shops

    2. Got a month Prime free trial, so was able to order some things we needed with free delivery

    3. Found that the Prime subscription includes the movie "Ghostbusters - Afterlife"  to watch for free, which I've been wanting to see for a while.
