It’s good that they have had so many different roles available in the past, but I don’t expect many local roles will be advertised in my area, at least going by the few times I have checked.
Great that this is your new special interest. I am not quite there with you, but I would be delighted if it should become so.
I am going to set a reminder to check the roles advertised regularly. Perhaps, with the start of the academic year coming up, more roles will be available.
Yes, a notification feature would be beneficial. In the meantime I am going to do a ‘mock response’ to suitable roles that may come up, with a view to avoiding potential last minute stress.
Good luck Mrs Snooks!
Yes, that's what I was hoping for myself too. Hope you find something. I have signed up for the newsletter for 'interested in volunteering' and will keep on checking for advertised roles. I had hoped they might have a notifications feature on the site, so that it would eamail me with local options, when they come up. But I can keep checking as part of my new 'special interest'.
Quiche is off limits for me. The only school trip I ever went on and a mix of the most horrible teacher ever topped off with her forcing me to eat quiche resulted in me never going on a trip again.
Love the smell of it when it’s bubbling away in the oven but just can’t bring myself to go back there.
I attended it too! I am hoping there might be a role for me.
1. Attending the Volunteering Webinar
2. Convincing my son that he would benefit for a trip home
3. Sitting in my conservatory with blue sky above.
Yes, I agree - being autistic is often what is wrong. However, it is usually how we are treated that makes it so difficult. It's how you show up that counts.
I do like most quiches - salmon is my favourite, but now I am vegetarian so it will need to be your choice.
Oh and don't leave. xx
TRIGGER WARNING for anyone with a dairy or wheat intolerance;
If I was a recovering quiche addict, I wouldn't be going down the quiche aisle in Tesco. I might even avoid the eggs and pre-baked pastry cases too.
How is one to avoid a simple website? By turning off ones devices and hiding them at the back of the wardrobe.
Being autistic is what's wrong. I've been advised that quiche might help. Not Lorraine. But broccoli and tomato.
Hi. What's wrong?
1. Being in despair at the world
2. Coming back on here
3. Realising just how easily old habits can return.
Sayonara!!!
I hope that your world is pure joy and excellence
Pretty good - it's the summer holidays and I'm on my way to Edinburgh
I hope your world is likewise wonderful!
I'm really not sure that I have the energy for regular attendance and participation here again
Nor me. But your presence is missed in any case, I'm sure not just by me.
