Yes, I agree - being autistic is often what is wrong. However, it is usually how we are treated that makes it so difficult. It's how you show up that counts.

I do like most quiches - salmon is my favourite, but now I am vegetarian so it will need to be your choice.

TRIGGER WARNING for anyone with a dairy or wheat intolerance;

If I was a recovering quiche addict, I wouldn't be going down the quiche aisle in Tesco.  I might even avoid the eggs and pre-baked pastry cases too. 

How is one to avoid a simple website? By turning off ones devices and hiding them at the back of the wardrobe.

Being autistic is what's wrong. I've been advised that quiche might help. Not Lorraine. But broccoli and tomato.

I'll maybe see you about if my current "flapping about" proves to have some use here......but I'm really not sure that I have the energy for regular attendance and participation here again. I was motivated to post - purely because of some profound incredulity I experienced in relation to some of our kin-folk here and what appears to be indefensible "thread locking".  It will pass.....generally, I have plenty to be getting on with!!

Yes - I remember that thread too.....because I started it, I think!  

The same message, from the same poster, appeared in all the threads that had been active last night....within the space of about 5 minutes....from a BOT account that had never posted here before......and that message was about selling us a link in Facebook to buy a miracle cure.

If we're not even allowed to pass comment on such things, then that is sad?.....but in any event, there was absolutely no doubt that this was a BOT.....and I simply passed comment with a fellow user about it's appearance.  I didn't engage with it, accuse it of anything, torment it........I was just talking with another community member....which I hope is still permissible here.....although to be fair.....who knows these days!

The question is how do you tell if it is ? I remember a thread about this a while ago so I try to be cautious but I’m guessing many have slipped the net.

Indeed - your concerns are WHOLLY aligned with mine = when I realised that some of my chums in this place were being UTTERLY suckered into engagement with these types of entities, I was encouraged to "shut myself down"......which I am (generally) happy to do.....because I know I am autistic - hence (by common perception) - can't possibly have a more valid and reasoned justification for my behaviour.....within a world that has CLEARLY gone mad?!

My only concern is some folks on here not being able to tell it's a bot and clicking on it with the best of intentions. Bot or no, I don't like scammers, and I don't trust facebook links as far as I can throw them—which is not far at all.

FYI - I used to get myself in trouble in ye'olden days......by following, and observing the behaviour of this type of thing!  I can report with ABSOLUTE certainty, that "immediate reappearance" is a new behaviour, that I have never witnessed before.  Evolution.....I guess!

FYI - I only do this sort of thing, PURELY because I like to learn,.and be informed about the world - on a "first principles" / "personally witnessed" basis.  I find it fascinating......although the VAST majority of my AUD kin-folk seem uninterested, and somewhat irritated by my fascination for "bot hunting."

And yet......dear brother/sister/another......by another mother.....I not that this little gitster......has simply - and immediately - just reappeared!
