3 Good Things (again)

As it can take a looong time for faults to be remedied, I thought this could fill in for now?

1.  My Vabysmo eye injection this afternoon at the hospital.

2.  I wore my 'hidden disabilities' thingy around my neck.

3.  Home and having a curry tonight Blush

  • 1. Today, the neighbourhood is in "normal Sunday mode" - just the various households; gently going about their house / garden chores and weekend leisure activities.

    2. Put into a small electric slow cooker; the ingredients for 4 portions of Lentil & Bacon Soup (from "What's For Dinner In One Pot?" by Sarah Rossi) - were you can leave the Slow Cooker (an own-brand budget-priced one from Argos which our household has used for years) to do all the work for you - while you get on with other things.  I used supermarket cooking bacon rather than rashers (more economical).  This type of hearty soup makes for easy meals later in the week on a busy day (or a good pack lunch in a wide-necked thermos food flask - having owned different ones over the years; my firm favourite: the stainless steel Thermos King 470 ml - I like that it doesn't have a handle sticking out - and yet, it has a slight "waist" shape ...so I am less likely to drop it when washing up!).

    3. Updated my Kindle Library with some wishlist cookery Kindle format eBooks - which were on £0.99 offer (as I am not a subscription fan).  Titles included easy savoury recipes for: Slow Cooker & Crockpot / One Pot or Stews (stove top) & Casseroles (oven) & Oven To Table dishes using a roasting tray as a Traybake / basic Soup Maker.

  • I have Jamie's 5 Ingredients Mediterranian book out (bought half price) and am cooking the frittata (page130) tonight. I boiled potatoes yesterday to split up the cooking time. (I like cooking but my concentration problems mean that I like few ingredients, easy recipes and short preparation times)

I look forward to hearing about your soup. It sounds delicious. xx
