.....and yet, no one, is allowed?.......to say ouwt? This NASmember feels suppressed, and vulnerable.

Surely.....sometimes.....it is ok to make a "dry" statement of observation?  No harm to anyone......and no meaning, unless you read this at the time of posting....and simply LOOK.

DISAMBIGUATION - This post is not a trap, nor a snare, nor a cheek, nor misinterpretable as 'somehow' mean......it is merely a fair autistic observation.....at this time?  Nes Pas ?

Is this allowed to stand?

  • You have a unique communication style, Number, and I value your contributions to this forum.

  • When people are exposed to my nuances of voice tone and facial expression.....and my spoke word.....I am pretty sure that I am MORE confusing to a lot of people.

  • Yes, that is part of what I was saying.  Thank you.

  • Dry humour or any other kind for that matter is ok, but dosen't always translate well into the written word, as you don't get the nuances of voice tone and facial expression

  • I think Number is saying that surely it's ok to post dry humour or an observation on life without meaning harm to anyone - unless someone reads " meaning " into it?

  • Im with you Catwoman I have no idea what is going on...

  • I'm confused as to what this thread is about, I've seen some posts from you that I don't understand, is that my bad or yours, or a mix of both? But then people say lots of stuff that I don't understand or agree with, it sounds as though you feel particularly impacted by rules against offencive language, again I don't know why?

  • You can't say anything here now for fear of someone being upset, feeling triggered or being offended.

    That might well be true, now, Iain (the evidence abounds) - but the jury is still out?

    I have always tried hard to avoid / defuse controversy here ..... I just want people in this space to be able to "chat" like autistic people WANT to, but rarely find a space - to do so - autistically!  That type of "free" chat will INEVITABLY result in some friction and discord at times, due to our communication difficulties, differential capabilities of insight,  and our own personal peccadilloes / limitations / strengths.  However, if matters are managed appropriately (by the appropriate authorities) and WITH TRANSPARENCY, then further "expressions of displeasure" (ie "deleted user" / "hibernating" / "the disappeared") are less likely to occur here.

    We all know and understand the rules.....and MOST of us don't wish to break them / bend / challenge them.....they seem like fair and reasonable rules.......IF they are enforced equally, to all, AND with transparency.

    Like you say;

    et justicer et empartialité, mais pas blondeur, s'il vous plait!

    Well in a free society they have the right to be offended.

    So long as no laws or explicit rules are broken then say what you want to say.

    I refuse to wrap myself up in cotton wool to avoid situations where someone chooses to throw the toys out the pram over something. I have the right to express myself and they have the right to be offended or not. They will not define how I think, act and express myself.
