  • It's worth keeping in mind that Dr Amen's various proposed subtypes of ADHD - including "ring of fire" - aren't currently recognised in the diagnostic manuals, with Healthline stating that they need to be researched further:

Healthline - What Is Ring of Fire ADD?

I noticed that you posted around 16 hours ago, but mine is still the first reply.

Whilst some of us here have also been diagnosed with ADHD, you might also like to get involved in an ADHD-specific forum or group, where you can also explore questions like this one with a more active, ADHD-focused bunch of people.

    Perhaps, for example:

Reddit - r/ADHD - over 2m members, and described as: "an inclusive, disability-oriented peer support group for people with ADHD with an emphasis on science-backed information. Share your stories, struggles, and non-medication strategies. Nearly two million users say they 'feel at home' and 'finally found a place where people understand them'"

    Reddit - r/ADHDUK - 30,000 members
