What's that coming over the hill?.......is it a ......... no !

I wish I was allowed to exercise my old pastime here, when things were lean !

  • Monster...

    Is it a monster?

I don't know if you are referencing that track, but it reminds me of a holiday in Cornwall. Ended up with Radio 1 breakfast show in the morning every day because there was no TV and very limited signal. They played the same tracks constantly, of which Monster was one.

Now I'm thinking about walking along cliff paths at dusk through persistent drizzle after eating local just-caught crab at a little pub in the cove. Fun times!

  • Just makes me think of that film Cockneys VS Zombies, one of the best all time "bad" films!

I remember when we only had 3 tv channels too, now we've got loads and they still show the same stuff as they other main 4 or 5.

  • I love a "bad film," in the same way that I love a "bad idea".........I need to explore it.  I have been watching "Mr Beast - (no idea what it is called.....but a TV show on Netflix)......even though I ABSOLUTELY HATE the concept, and therefore cannot understand/imagine why anyone would choose to watch it.  Indeed, I have hated every moment of watching it.  Nonetheless, I will watch it to the end.  In it's own right, I find that interesting!!

Accordingly, I thank you for your recommendation of "Cockneys VS Zombies"......I will be watching that soon.

    I thank you.

  • OK Cool!!  Now that I know the "vintage".....I am even more confident that I will be able to 'kick-back' with it!

  • I think you'll love it, it's real low budget British film making with a great cast, Richard Bryers, Honor Blackman and a couple of actors I recognise but can't remember the names of. It's in a similar vein to Attack the Block, if you've not watched it add that to your list too.
