What are everyone’s plans for Christmas?

Hi with only 5 more sleeps til Christmas what will everyone be doing? Me well it’s going to be hard this year as it will be my first Christmas without any of my parents. As some of you know my mum passed sway a few years ago and my dad is staying in Scotland with his partner Sheila this year. So my friend Rikki is coming over for the day and we will cook Christmas dinner together and just spend the day together. I have bought some nice treats for my dog and she will also have a nice Christmas dinner with us. I’ve got Rikki a really nice present and hopefully I will have a nice day and I hope my dad enjoys his first Christmas with Sheila. I just wish my mum could come just for the day as she loved Christmas but at least she be watching over me.
so over to you guys now what are your plans?

  • Hi Rach91

Well I finish work at 5pm tomorrow (Monday) - thank goodness.

Christmas Eve helping parents with dinner preparation, other than that, generally just chilling out and resting as I've had a very hectic busy time recently, and just looking forward to 're-charging my batteries' shall we say.

Christmas Day, chilling out, opening presents (from family, friends and work colleagues), helping, cooking and eating dinner and then general chilling out until bed - we always light a 'memory' candle for loved ones who are no longer with us during Christmas Dinner.

Boxing Day I've got a video call with my brother and my niece and nephews - other than that not much else lol.

It's my Dad's 75th Birthday on the 29th and him and Mum are going to see Startlight Express in the evening.

Not going back to work until Monday 30th - so it's pretty chill all weekend as well lol.

You sound like you've got a lovely relaxing time with your friend and your dog - I'll also be spending some lovely time with my animals as well - including my cat (who might as well be a child lol).

Sending best wishes over to you.
