I think that young people come and go on here.
There tends to be a core of mainly older (30+) people who, for whatever reason, have settled into this forum for good or ill.
Ausomely Autistic makes a good point in that respect in the thread below.
I suspect that forums are a bit 'old hat' these days and this is partly why people have left here - to join in somewhere that suits them better in format as well as content.
It has therefore become a hub for late diagnosed/recognised autists - not exclusively (obviously) but if you look at the members who have stayed long term they tend to be in this group.
I think that's a reason why I/we stay despite the trials and tribulations we have to suffer because of the IT problems.
It's a place where we actually connect.
