I like this idea! I'm not saying I never complain, but my philosophy on life has always been to work through problems or accept things for what they are - I myself do not like complaining and having no action to show for it at the end.
I would say the notifications working by email now. I found it odd before that it kept saying email notifications were on when they clearly never worked. Makes it easier to keep track of things.
Unless you go into the message, you might think that the forum is closed all day.

Perhaps we should set up our own instagram or discord or whatever is currently popular with the non-dinosaurs
I think that young people come and go on here.
There tends to be a core of mainly older (30+) people who, for whatever reason, have settled into this forum for good or ill.
Ausomely Autistic makes a good point in that respect in the thread below.
I suspect that forums are a bit 'old hat' these days and this is partly why people have left here - to join in somewhere that suits them better in format as well as content.
It has therefore become a hub for late diagnosed/recognised autists - not exclusively (obviously) but if you look at the members who have stayed long term they tend to be in this group.
I think that's a reason why I/we stay despite the trials and tribulations we have to suffer because of the IT problems.
It's a place where we actually connect.
I find it much faster than before to navigate and the notification functions seem to work now in the way I expect them to.
I don't use a lot of the features to be fair.
My understanding is that the changes were almost all on the back end of the system - the engine that runs the discussion boards and this was needed as so much of the old system was not working as it should.
A small net positive in the experience, offset by terrible planning with communication about the issues they experienced.
Maybe I should offer my services for weekend IT support for free so we can sort out the technical issues that happen out of hours (I am GMT - 3 hours at present so evening cover is a breeze).
