As you can see, I'm back with my default account. The banner was still visible, but after clicking the [x] and navigating to this discussion, it thankfully hasn't returned.

Hopefully, it will remain that way for us both, and anyone else who has been affected.

No, perhaps i didn't express myself well. I just meant that my phone saves my username & password so it's easier to log in. Yesterday i used this method & couldn't do so.

Yes. I keep having to click the [x] to close it, but I can't face making a backup account. Two accounts doesn't fit with the way my brain works (or disfunctions )

EDIT: I think a mod must have read this - because it has just gone!!!

It's that annoying orange banner that is putting me off from using my 'default' account. It really is very distracting, isn't it?

I wish I could get rid of that annoying orange banner, though!

The good news is that if you are told that your posts are being moderated, once they are approved by the mods, it looks like you come off moderation.

This is a long standing problem for me (from long before the changeover) and that was always the case then.

So, thanks mods for being so prompt.

Not sure if this is relevant to your post, but i just tried to sign in with saved information (username/password) & was told i was blocked out. The automatic response said i might not be cleared yet, despite joining two weeks ago. I've just reset my password & signed in manually. I've saved this new password so it remains to be seen if i can log in again next time. I wanted to write a new post but have lost the drive to do so now. The moment has gone. Perhaps another time.

I think I can post now? I still have the orange banner across the top of my screen, but it looks like posts are coming up. Just when I was winding down for the day.

I can't post either, I figured it was a matter of waiting approval/needing to post on existing topics first.

It was only due to our collective tendency towards literalism that I wanted to quickly clarify how our accounts can be affected. To hopefully help avoid any undue panic about anyone having actually been wrongly - and permanently - banned due to these ongoing, and highly upsetting, issues.

I couldn't agree more that the forum currently isn't fit for purpose. It's beyond disappointing.

In talking about tweaks, I was thinking from a technical perspective. Sometimes, even the smallest tweaks in spam filter settings (whether for online forums or email management) can have very significant impacts. And I also couldn't agree more that we definitely need the latter, as soon as possible!
