Autistic parent challenges

I'm a single parent of a two year old, I really struggle to cope with the loud noise associated with his tantrums. I find it totally overwhelming.

Do any parents have any advice on how I can manage?

Being a parent to a neurodivergent child is a challenge anyway but you are doing this alone. I just want to say you’re doing a fantastic job and asking that question shows you care about doing the best for your child. I struggle sometimes with my own child and although I’m not single I would say most of childcare duties fall on me.
The only thing I can really say is write in a diary and experiment with mindful ways to help, hopefully you may start to see a pattern and either recognise the triggers or at least find some distraction techniques.

As Cloud said these should perhaps be treated as a meltdown and in my short experience is best to let them get it out once it has started.
