Recently diagnosed at 67 looking to make friends

New beginning

Hi there this is my first time posting on here.My name is Gary and I am 67 years old feeling quite isolated and looking for new connections friends

    I was also diagnosed at 67, nearly five years ago now; it explained so many of my past difficulties.

    I wish I had known earlier, but that just can't be changed.

    Hi Ben,

    Thank you.How are you feeling now about it Ben?
    Quite a few things are kind of starting to slot into place and likewise explains a lot of my past difficulties too.
    I have my feedback session from my diagnosis tomorrow.The last 2 weeks ever since I received it I have felt quite up and down though I kind of set to with some reading on autism ‘ The Autistic Survival Guide To Therapy’ by Steph Jones.Almost most finished the second book which I think is going to be helpful with unmasking ‘Unmasking Autism’ by Dr Devon Price.

    A couple more on order from Amazon.

    I think the weirdest thing about this diagnosis is that I was masking my entire life and always struggled with settling into reading a book.That has now changed and I’m happy to read and read about autism.A new hyperfocus / special interest !
