What actually works for you when it comes to burning off anger?

I haven't found anything that works for me. I find that it's actually getting worse for me, not better.

The closest thing is a distraction but it's only temporary relief. Same with throwing something. Sometimes I just want to shout but again, that's probably just temporary.

Years of my parents making me feel bad for ever merely feeling sad about anything doesn't help.

  • I'd exercise until I'm mentally and physically drained. Or if I can't exercise, I'll just write everything down just to put the anger down somewhere, so that it's not all in my head. Sometimes lack of sleep, too much noise, or extreme heat and discomfort, can make a person more irritable than usual, and sometimes just being in the wrong kind of environment can cause additional stress too, so try to avoid places and situations that may cause you any undo stress.
