Informing work of my diagnosis help

I just got diagnosed myself and faced this dilemma. Firstly do they need to know? if so who are the most important people that need to be informed?

For me, i told my line manager first and then told the team i work in. After that i have told some of the wider team that i have known a long time and trust. Nobody else really needs to know, so i'm going to see how it goes. If anything comes up where i need to mention it then i will.

I found it less overwhelming to do it in stages.
