During my time on NAS (just over 2 years), I have seen my fair share of posts from members requesting their accounts be deleted because they want to leave the Community. In fact, some of those posts date back several years.
I have copied the following from the Community FAQs page:
How do I leave the online community?
To avoid any confusion, I wish to make it clear that I do NOT currently have any plans to leave the NAS Community.
To Banbury!
My heart is still here. I think of it as a buffet table now. Some items are inedible is all. There's plenty of other goodies on the table and plenty of new people coming in to add to it. We choose where we focus.
When I focus on you, Debbie, I feel very happy and privileged to be your friend and know you are here. I feel seen and heard by you, a precious thing. When I post, I think of you and others here who are kind and thoughtful reading it and, hopefully, they will be uplifted by it or have a an uplifting word to assist in times of distress.
I hope you do stay, but as I go through phases when I feel similar, I can relate to what you say.
The horses would never forgive you
I hope you do stay, but I can understand.
My heart has left this forum but my mind wants to stay.
I too am sorry to read that you have been unwell.
Fingers crossed that you'll be back in good health soon.

I'm sorry to hear this Roy.
I hope you are much better soon x
I really miss reading of your catastrophes when you venture out!
Hi, I have unfortunately been ill since Christmas, a few more days of antibiotics and I should be physically on the mend . Just haven’t had spare energy to communicate lately. The clocks changing at the weekend will hopefully give me the boost I need.
I'm glad to hear it! Though I tend to lurk I do see many of the posts you all make. Please don't apologise. It was my mistake!

It definitely is
Roy!
Where have you been?
Please join this thread as a token woman.
Dressing up isn't obligatory.
Hi Roy,
It's lovely to hear from you too.
Exactly. And everyone has different values and priorities
I am NOT leaving. Apologies if my original post has caused confusion Barrack.
I'm not leaving Yellow Tree, or at least I'm not planning to.
My original post was intended to be a how-to guide for members who want to leave, but don't know how to.
If truth be told, I think what women want and need can vary from woman to woman... In the same way that what men need can vary from man to man. I don't think any gender likes it when the opposite gender makes assumptions about what they want or need.
Hi Sparkly, nice to hear from you.

Thank you

Both undeniably true
