Hi this is for everyone who has a sweet tooth what’s your favourite cake Jaffer cakes not included I still see them as biscuits. cheese cake can be included.
My favourite cake has got to be a Victoria sponge the cream and the jam amazing I also have a soft spot for cupcakes as well so over to everyone else what’s your favourite cake and why?
Parkin on Bonfire Night!
I make carrot cakes at home.
Lemon drizzle cake for me!
I live in Ireland and worked in a nice sweet shop for a while and it also sold lemon drizzle cakes and buns as well - they were all baked on the day and it smelt delicious. Sadly, the lady who owned it wasn't understanding or supportive of my autism and I couldn't stay there but I did enjoy it whilst I was there.
I’m not a big cake eater but I do like lemon drizzle cake, the weirdest cake I have tried was Brussel sprout cake. It was actually quite nice.
carrot!
My fave is farmhouse fruit cake with grated orange zest in it as well. My mum makes an awesome one.
So many cakes…. The classic Victoria sponge is amazing, I always like to go to one of the Farmhouse Inn pubs with the big cakes. Then it has to be Mars Attacks… there are so many colourful cakes in the cabinet, but I usually go for the Mars Attacks because I know I like it! But whatever the cake, it’s always with Earl grey tea.
A good chocolate brownie, some are better than others, no nuts. Spiced apple cake, used to love the ikea one but then they scrapped it and replaced with boring apple pie, so disappointed as that cake had a lovely texture. Ginger cake. There are others, but for me it more depends on the actual cake than the kind of cake as sometimes any kind of cake can be too dry or not right in some way, and sometimes a kind of cake I am not usually excited by might be just right. But always no nuts! Not allergic, just loathe the texture and not keen on the flavour either. Swiss roll can be nice. Now I'm thinking about cake! I've probably forgotten several I used to like. I guess there are worse things to be thinking about at bed time, maybe I'll dream about cake
Fruit cake. Best with plenty of fruit. When I was a child I always asked for a fruit cake. My Mum loved baking so it was always homemade.
I don't have a favourite type of cake. As long as it doesn't contain dried fruit, I'll generally eat it. My maternal grandmother used to make the most wonderful Parkin. It's a type of ginger cake that originated in Northern England and is often associated with Yorkshire and Lancashire.
I like white chocolate and raspberry cake. My nana makes them so yum. She owns a beautiful cake shop.
I dont like cake. But I am fine eating the oreo ice cream cake from walmart - only that oreo ice cream cake, no other brand
Lemon drizzle cake.....always!
