Hya
I am an autistic adult and just joined because I haven't got the feeling I get proper support elsewhere.
I have been diagnosed 5 years ago and at the moment struggle a lot.
Bow, I filled in profile and saw you're not allowed to put in identifiers (sorry, just did, hate to be mentioned as a number) and I really don't get why I should get "achievemenbts" and points...I'm not a toddler anymore, I don't need a sticker for everything i do "right" or whatever so can someone explain to me why this feels very patronising and how I can get help to cope instead of only being able to moan about things?
I agree - points are pointless. Just ignore them.
The achievements and points are just part of the forum's system. I don't think anyone is expected to take notice of them.
Not putting in identifiers is for your own safety as much as anything.
It's just basic gamification, a bit of fun to make the forum process engaging.
I find it bizarre you've got yourself this worked up about something so innocuous. Lighten up a bit, that's my suggestion.
