Marmite love it or hate it. I’m a hater I think it tastes vial over to you guys are you a lover or are you a hater.
I love it and even better in the summer in a sandwich with cucumber. I developed that idea from the lettuce and marmite sandwiches my gran made for my grandfather to take to work when I was young.
It's alright. Makes me sneeze though.
Goosy! It's good to see you back on the forum.
.....but I don't share your love of marmite.
Ben
Marmite sandwiches are so yummy :—)
I love marmite. I like it on toast and in my sandwiches ^^
As much as its always been spoken about as being an 'either you love it or hate it' situation and marmite has basically entered the English lexicon as the go to simile for that I have to disappoint and say... It's just okay, I'm completely neutral on it, I don't like or hate it. I generally don't have it but, I were offered it, I would eat it. I wouldn't seek it out.
The jar states its yeast extract, originally Guinness had to pay to get rid of the waste. Most teatime favourites were low cost. My childhood hate was the old mug of ‘dripping’ in the fridge, it always made me feel ill, my parents thought it was marvellous.

Ooh! I didn't know any of that, it's really interesting!
This is making me want to eat it, now!
I haven’t, but I have tried Marmite cheese! It’s very ‘moreish’. Marmite crisps are also a favourite. I have tried substitutes but they aren’t the same, I weirdly don’t like Bovril. Maybe you would like Nairns Marmite and cheese oatcakes. Or perhaps you've tried them!
Marmite is a thing, however you may feel about it.
There are many, many Marmite products out there!
Many Marmite/Peanut and Marmite/Cheese combos.
I conclude that a lot of people really do love it.
It's ok...
On toast with some butter. As I recall, although I haven't eaten any for many years.
I don't like the smell of it.
I’ve always loved Marmite, cheese and marmite sandwiches, also toasted crumpets with cheese and Marmite. The cheese must be a strong Cheddar.
I’ve always hated marmite, up until about 6 months ago when I decided I wanted to try it again. Now I love it.
It’s been forever since I last tried it so I’ve forgotten. But maybe that tells me something about how much I ‘enjoyed’ it.
