Hello,
I am 45 years old and I am late diagnosed as autistic and adhd. I did the tests in France with a psychologist but I want it to be confirmed in uk where I live but I don't know how. I saw a doctor this morning and he told me that because I did the tests in France it's not valid and I have to do a referral for official diagnosis in uk and it will take few years to wait.
Is someone has an advice for me to know how I can do ? I don't want to wait years to wait for an assessment
Why do you want (or need) it to be confirmed? It’s not as if there is lots of support for autistic adults in this country.
Is there any support at all ?
This community. Apart from that I think it varies a lot depending on where you live but in general not much.
