Hi,
I just wanted to ask if I'm alone in this.
I cry and awful lot. Barely a day goes by, where I haven't cried.
I cry at adverts, television programmes, radio programmes, books. If people are kind to me I cry sometimes. I cry if I get overwhelmed. They can be happy or sad tears. I find it really hard to contain it.
I don't think it's depression. I just FEEL everything on a huge scale.

Sometimes this can be related to hyper empathy which is very common in our autistic community.
Here is a video and some information about hyper empathy:

I hope this helps!
I didn't know this. Thank you!
You are very welcome! I hope these resources are informative for you.
I think sometimes hyper empathy can be really useful as it means we are intensely connected to the world, however I also understand how overwhelming it can be.
Given your experiences that you have described in your original post, I think you will definitely be able to relate to the autistic people in the video.
