I’ve recently been prescribed medicinal cannabis from the sapphire clinic. Starting with adven 4% thc cbd oil and will then go onto the the 20% thc oil for my social anxiety. Has anyone tried these cbmp? And have they helped you at all?

Apologies for bringing back an old thread here, but given I was researching I figured I'd post to address a couple of points made (ages ago!)...
In terms of an actual treatment, 'medicinal cannabis' should be thought of as medical cannabis. The difference is one is regulated and prescribed by clinics with registered psychiatrists (and medically produced) as part of a treatment plan, while the other is self administered largely guessed at. Both have their place, granted, but in terms of a treatment plan, perhaps to aid symptoms of ASD, medical is the way forward. And it's legal.
Re schizophrenia I believe research suggests cannabis/THC does not cause it, it makes it more likely for those with the predetermination/genetics to develop it. If there is a family history of schizophrenia or prior symptoms THC should indeed be avoided. I do not believe however that there is a cause/effect style link between the two things.
I'm currently re-evaluating my historic self medication of cannabis and am on the verge of a legally and medically prescribed treatment plan after much research around benefits/risks linking to ASD.
I agree with you regarding the pre existing or latent predisposition to psychosis or schitzophrenic episodes which can be exacebated or triggered with heavy cannabis use.
I'm sure that there is an argument that it can cause these issues but I havn't done much research into it.
I'm a few years into my treatment now and it has been really useful for me but..... it's probably not for everyone.
The low balanced strains work well for me. I hope the treatment works well for you. Always be honest with the physician. Took me a while to get something that worked for me and sometimes certain strains dont agree with me (sometimes out of stock ect so have to swap)
Thanks for the good advice - I'm going in eyes wide open and know it's something that helps me cope, though there's a definite mental shift to be done in terms of classing it as medication and dialing it in as such.
I also need to work out the balancing with CBD oil that I'm a long term user of. Initially it seems it's my job to work out the ratios though in time I'll probably look for more balanced strains.

Will do thanks. In many ways (legality, honesty, guilt etc) just going through the medical route is something right in itself - real step forward which I hope will lead to more as I learn and dial.
No problem. Think everyone is different but you'll eventually find something that works for you. When you get it right, you'll just know. Let us know how you get on anyways
