I have my first autism assessment appointment next week and it is just before work.
I was just wondering others who have gone through the NHS process, how intense was it? I work with young children so I do not want to turn up to work overwhelmed if it is quite intense.
Sharing any experiences would be really helpful!
Mine wasn’t via the NHS, but an assessment is an assessment, and you will probably be anxious before hand, and overthink your answers afterwards, and all tne things you forgot to say 
. Only you know how you react to stressful situations, so try and give yourself downtime as soon as you are able.

This is very reassuring as I will probably end up doing this I will try and plan a bit beforehand. Thank you for your response!
