Do your friends and loved ones know your identity in this place?

I like to fly under the radar wherever possible - less attention = less stress.

I value anonymity.  I am debating whether to share my identity in this place with my nearest and dearest.

Do the folk from these pages share their identity here with their significant others so they can be "looked up" and their posts read?

A simple Yes or No would be gratefully received, but further reasoning would be especially welcomed.

  • I'm quite new but I think for me no, it's a space for me to connect with you guys and try to understand myself. My other half is 8 years sober and has AA as his space, there's a limited amount of crossover with that with people he's made friends with.  At the minute, I think it wouldn't help me for him to see my posts but I recognise that could change.

  • Hello Joe.  Thanks for this.  I'm 6 months sober now, - but in a "yay! its just that I'm autistic" sort of stopping without difficulty sort of way.  It is a bit of a journey in any event - and you and your partner have cross-sectional head winds =delicate.  Thank you for reminding me of this dimension.
