Do you find that you are always eager to please people?

I spent about £350 on presents for my parents the Christmas just gone and they probably spent about £70 on me and this has happened countless times. Can you relate to this? Is it common for autistic people to go over the top in order to please people?

Hi, it may be that they can’t afford to spend that much. What I did with my mother is, we spoke about it. We set a limit of £50. It’s much easier, everyone knows what is expected of them.

I have been guilty of trying to impress a girl, I was surprised that a girl took interest in me. I realised in the end that it was because I had a car.

And my parents could definitely afford more than 70 quid....they own 4 houses haha!
