Do you find that you are always eager to please people?

I spent about £350 on presents for my parents the Christmas just gone and they probably spent about £70 on me and this has happened countless times. Can you relate to this?  Is it common for autistic people to go over the top in order to please people?

  • Hi, it may be that they can’t afford to spend that much. What I did with my mother is, we spoke about it. We set a limit of £50. It’s much easier, everyone knows what is expected of them.

    I have been guilty of trying to impress a girl, I was surprised that a girl took interest in me. I realised in the end that it was because I had a car.
