Just found this very powerful presentation on masking, burnout and school refusal by Kieran Rose.  Good to see some focus on the drivers behind all of this rather than on the individual's responsibility to somehow become more resilient.  It certainly touched a few nerves for me and also helps to understand the depth of the issue.  I wish i'd known all of this years ago, although of course I was unidentified at that time.

    Yes I understand what you mean, unfortunately we didn’t have access to the autistic advocates we do today. 

    More recently though, we are referenced because we are experts on our own autistic experience.
