I am a trustee for a young adult family member with autism. I am looking for some experienced advice about how I could help with independent living and to access suitable care packages. Any experience or sources of helpful advice would be very much appreciated

Thanks. It’s quite difficult as they are very withdrawn, not speaking or leaving the home. There is some communication using writing.
Thanks. The person I want to help does not speak or leave the home. They are able to cook for themselves. It would be a big step in independence if they could do some on line shopping ordering. We have suggested this without success and I am looking for some strategies to encourage it
Take an interest in their activities, and encourage them to talk about what's happening in their life. Take the person's feelings seriously. Encourage and support friendships. Encourage activities that promote mental health, such as exercise, good eating, regular sleep, and doing things the person enjoys. [link removed by Mod]
I did it mostly to collect some new nice receipes. I work in a supermarket so I shop there. But I did here from other autistic it's life saver for them
Thanks for sharing this. Have you continued to do this ordering on line?
I think working is a great part of independent living, Im alway hiring autistics employees, so if someone is located in san diego california just hit me up in my website https://thecaliplumber.com/
I did try on few occassions ordering online from websites delivering receipe and all ingredients to make a meal, like https://www.gousto.co.uk/ It's really good idea for someone autistic, because you can do it once a week, and have it off your head, and avoid going shopping
