Conformist or none conformist?

I consider myself to be a none conformist & have been so all of my life.

Although a none conformist has to conform at times within life.

I seem to be mellowing a little on this subject, as I'm getting older.

I used to think that I was a non conformist and, at heart, I still am. However, I did have to conform sufficiently to pay my mortgage and other bills.

Now I see myself as a thwarted idealist.
