Lighting

Am I unusual among autistics for preferring very bright and cool white rather than soft, warm yellow lighting? I love bright sunny days and direct sunlight. I often struggle at events for autistic people because I'm fighting the urge to fall asleep in dimly lit rooms with the curtains drawn, which is also an environment I find very depressing. Is there any product that could help me with this? Like sunglasses but in reverse? Something that can make the environment brighter for me but not for everyone else?

  • I like the sun, but I suffer from extreme photophobia, so have to constantly wear sunglasses, indoors & out, wear a cap outside, also. This issue for me is not autism related, another health issue that I've lived with for most of my adult life. I like sunlight, just cant look towards it. I've adapted my life around it now, but not always easy when I'm working within an office environment at times. I also feel self aware of having to wear my glasses indoors, but without doing so it would be impossible for me to live a productive life.
