Waiting for Diagnosis

So having taken the step to start the ball rolling, I approached my GP to get a referral, which they did, I then got the questionnaires that I completed, got my mum to complete the family questionnaire and then sent it all back.

They assessed it and put me on the waiting list, which is 3 years long and I can't leave my area otherwise I will have to do the whole process again

  • It took me almost four years to reach the end of the queue. I felt as though I was never going to get there and then suddenly it was done.
One thing I did that helped me and the assessors was to start a private blog with the things I felt were relevant to getting a diagnosis. Memories from my childhood and the things that I struggled with. I don’t know if it’ll help you personally or not, I hope it does
