Disclosing to employer

Hi there

I'm wondering what people's experiences are of disclosing their autism to their employer. Please share good and bad if you feel able. Will help me work out my thoughts on it.

  • I disclosed to my employer this week, the day after getting the official diagnosis, which might not have been very smart. My employer has been super supportive and friendly so far (i've only started the job recently), so hopefully it will work out fine. I can let you know how it evolves if you want? I don't feel like I need any adjustments at this point but I just wanted to be honest and to have it out in the open in case I ever do run into challenges or need some adjustments afterall.
