I'm not sure

Hi Everyone,

I don't know where to start. So I'll start with how I feel.

Sometimes, when I'm in a busy environment, like pub. the voices seem to meld into one sound and it makes me want to run out of the room because it's too loud.

I notice things and remember things other people don't even notice.

Sometimes I start crying for no reason.

I feel self conscious all the time, like I'm being judged.

I'm anti social because I don't feel like anyone understands me.

As a consequence, I drink too much, which I hate myself for.

I hope I can get some sensible input cos I feel like I'm going nuts and I saw a YouTube video of someone who is diagnosed with Autism and he basically described me.

Thank You in advance

Andy xx

This exact thing happened to me in the cafe at IKEA today. I ended up having to sit in the car for 20 minutes with my head in my hands, just all got too much

I wouldnt like to say whether you are autistic or not, all I will say is everything you described is how I feel too and a lot of it sounds like autistic experiences and how we experience the world

When I was first looking into my autism I took the test on Clinical Partners, dont know whether its any good but I found it helpful. There is an NHS Q and A too I think.

We are all here for you to talk on here while you figure it out and start your journey
