"You think too much"

Has any one else here ever has that exact phrase said to them on multiple occasions in their lives?

  • Yes, all my life, especially when I manage to fill in the gaps revealing truths people didn’t want to see.

It’s just those of us autistic have thinking minds instead of social minds that we see the things that others can’t see. There’s more than one kind of intelligence, while nonautistic people may score higher marks in standardised tests (crystallised intelligence), we are better at what’s called “fluid intelligence” which is far more useful than scores on useless and unrealistic standardised tests.

  • That's a groovy descriptor you have written there.  I recently came across the word "omnific" that I am finding useful when describing my way of thinking about problems.  I do hope that people don't mis-ascribe the meaning to think that I am calling myself God-like !
