Starting new college

I am starting a new college in august and I am feeling anxious about it.I am worried that If I don’t mask that no one will like me. Should I tell people that I’m autistic and be myself and stim or do I try to fit in to seem normal and not say anything. Any tips on this would be helpful

  • I probably wouldn't tell fellow students straight away, I would get to know them first.  You could tell the lecturers so that they understand if you need to leave etc. Try to find stims that you can do in secret, mine involve pressing my nails into my fingers in turn so I can do that hidden.
