Who else has or does Copy other people

I have copied people so I look more mainstream.
The first time is when I was 7 years old. I couldn't read or write, so I watched how other children read all the books. Before long I had memorised all of the books.

when the girls played skipping or the clapping games I was not coordinated enough.

the girls didn’t include me in play they used to say, “don’t ask her she can’t skip, she’s know good at playing”. So I played on my own I felt more comfortable that way.

There have been many times I’ve copied others.

  • I think that the main difference between how neurotypicals copy others and how autistics copy others, is that for neurotypicals it is largely subconscious, whereas autistics largely have to copy consciously. We all copy, the tragic cases of 'feral children' show that social skills and language, 'being human', are not spontaneous, but are the result of copying other humans.
