Hello, take as much as you need to process your new autistic identification. I would recommend you contact an autistic therapist, you won’t need to explain your neurology then. You should feel understood.

Thanks very much!  It's strange because I was really hoping for a diagnosis for such a long time, but now that I have it, I'm feeling really bad about myself, thinking about all the things I get wrong and all the things I have trouble with.

You are very welcome. Everything you are feeling is perfectly valid, the process of autistic identification is life changing and takes time to adjust to. This must be really difficult for you, when you are ready you may want to engage with the autistic community more to help you understand your own autistic profile. We all have strengths and weaknesses, but the more you change your environment to suit your autistic neurology the better you will feel.
