Online Social Events for Adults on the Autism Spectrum

Do these social events operate through typing in responses, or are they like Skype or Teams or something (audio/visual)?

I've only attended the gather.town events so i can only explain that one from my experience. Gather.Town does have a Mic and webcam feature but you are not forced to use them, you can use the text chat feature.

if you do choose to use a mic and webcam other people attending will only see or hear you if your charter is in proximity to another character is sitting at the same table, or right next to another character. 

In the virtual room used their a few tables which have different multiplayer web browser games and you can join people in the room to play games together. Like pictionary, Poker, connect 4, chess.
