Monotropism and Double Empathy Problem videos by The Autistic Advocate, Kieran Rose

These videos are really brilliant, Kieran explains the theories in an accessible and practical way. I hope they are helpful for you to understand your autistic experience and also for parents or carers understand autistic neurology/the impact of social norms on their autistic children.

  • Thank you for posting these. Very interesting.

On the double empathy I thought of how if I don't want to do something regarding socialising by neurotypical I feel I am different by not having similar opinions to them. Would be good if we didn't feel different and our way could be seen as an equal way or even the norm.
