any thoughts on a ketogenic diet,(low in sugars) as a treatment for Autism.., I came across this when studying aging and cancer with Glycolysis when the end of the chromosomes called telomere gets taken over by cancer, makes the cell grow and grow,, so your new immortal cancer cell kills you by using a glucose cycle. A ketogenic diet kills of the cancer cells by removing the glucose fuel feed.

  • I've followed a wholemeal, mostly organic, vegan diet for 17 years. Ok, i cook almost everything from scratch, an elec pressure cooker helps. But wowser, I've felt on top form ever since!

The sugar cravings have dropped to an extent I'm never even tempted unless it's put directly in front of me. My best autistic mate alwYs comments how much beter he feels when he hangs out and eats with me regular. Just a portion of white rice and I can tell I've dropped to 80-90% me. And recommend it.

And diet has an impact on ailments and illnesses. 40% of cancers go into self remission prior to diagnosis. There's alot of emerging s ientific literature, but not enough to persuade the massess cos of course there's no money or careers to be made in diet recommendations instead of pills. I had a terminal tumour diagnosis which like many I survived with no treatment apart from my own self help: diet, exercise, tai chi, yoga, herbs, therapy, ... .
