An alternative to humming

Hey guys, 

When I'm over stimulated, I use humming to block out noises and help ground myself.

at work this is very difficult for me because I'm so use to humming, I work for the Ambulance service as well, I know it's hard to change my behaviour but even I hate humming and I want to try find an alternative. 

would anyone have any suggestions please?

    Stroking a particular texture fabric I like

    Chewing gum

    Listening to music, either with earphones or singing it in my head, and mouthing the lyrics, this has become a lot more useful in the pandemic where masks hide your mouth moving from those around you.

    Tensing my leg muscles repetitively.
