Stuck on a problem

Does anyone else get really stuck on a problem they have? Or something that has bothered them? (Daily problems, such as an argument with parent or friend, work trouble, your boss, etc)

People always say things like 'oh is that /still/ bothering you?' like they're frustrated that I'm still talking about it?

Yes, it is still bothering me? Why is that wrong? If I'm upset about something why would I just let it go instantly?

It upsets me because I feel as if I am being annoying to the people around me, but I can't help it. I just get so easily fixated on things. Anyone else?

  • Until these problems are solved or have some kind of resolution, you probably won't stop attempting to problem-solve, troubleshoot, calculate or re-calculate them.

Neurotypical individuals Lack Empathy. That's what the Actual problem is in these relationships. And also the desire to Be Empathetic, while Autistic individuals are typically over-compensating for both parties due to being falsely accused, misinterpreted, misrepresented, misjudged. This can cause 2 problems: a flood of emotional stress which clouds ones ability to think clearly On Top Of an inability to properly identify social complexities, nuances and psychological structures due to being Autistic.

Not only do we have problems with these social nuances, but we're often not taught how to navigate them either due to communication errors between the sender and receiver or due to NT negligence and contempt.

I discovered ages ago, in order to learn and grow as a human - regardless of age - we need a safe place with resources to learn from. The best analogy is a greenhouse. In my experience, the best place to steal time and information has always been at a library. But first I had to learn to protect myself by creating distance from these cruel humans. It can take years to learn to recognise their gaslighting, manipulations and other sociopathic behaviours. It can also take years to then learn how trust-worthy and kind people behave and communicate. Eventually, it is possible to recognise kind and ethical individuals from ones who say their ethical but merely virtue signalling and say their kind but actually manipulative.
