Has the Pandemic Made You Think About Or Change your Job or Lifestyle For The Better ?

Hello,

As we are living through this surreal time in history, I'm curious to know has any of you made any major changes for the better in your lives ?

Has the Pandemic made you re-evaluate things, your lifestyle, work-life-balance, daily routine/rut or career ? Have you eventually switched jobs, location or are currently in-between or have you re-invented yourself in some other way ? Perhaps you have had more time to re-assess what is actually more important in this very short time each of us have on this planet ? I am not expecting Hollywood Movie, happy-ending stories of how one eventually ' fixed ' themselves or the world, I'm just curious to know, has any of this moved you in any way for the better ?

If so, It would be very interesting and hopefully encouraging to hear those stories.

Thanks, T.

  • I got my diagnosis during lockdown. I had CBT during lockdown. The first lockdown showed me how life could be (quiet...less demanding). It has been difficult somewhat adjusting to coming out of it all. Because of all of the above, I'm learning to listen to and follow my needs more. I feel it all has had a positive effect on my mental health and I hope to continue. I'm mindful of social activities more now and how they affect me. I'm more mindful of how work affects me. I've decided to take a lateral step at work and do something new alongside the usual.

Everyone was saying how they wanted things to go back to normal. I really didn't.  I read on the MIND charity website and others about Covid and MH. It was all about actual covid & lockdown causing poor MH . Not once did I read about coming OUT of lockdown and this affecting MH.
