What would you do if you won a million pounds/dollars ?

how would you spend the money on ?

its just fun Slight smile but interesting to see would other people do the same as me ?

  • I would sell up here and buy a house in Spain or Portugal (my wife has Irish citizenship so Brexit should not be a problem) with an olive grove. I would build a tower on the house and in the lower part it would be a library, with galleries. Above would be a  sort of den room and an en-suite bathroom and finally on the flat roof I would have an open air bar/kitchen covered by a canvas awning.

    wow you have it all planned  --- i worked with a guy from Spain and he would show me photographs of North Spain and it seems incredibly beautiful.

    would you run the Oil Grove as a business concern ?

    There's usually a local co-operative that would buy up the olives, press them them for you, and you would get a proportion of the proceeds and a few large jars of oil for home consumption. I'm only thinking of an acre or so, not an agribusiness. I would probably go to Murcia or the Huelva part of Andalusia. The North is pretty but not really olive country. A cider apple orchard in Asturias would be an alternative, though.
