All my posts are being monitored ?

After making a non pc comment i now can't post it adds me to a que then it never gets uploaded.

  • Thanks, lovely. It's a long road ahead but I am determined to get there. x

  • Also, why exactly are you so frantic about this anonymous person who reported you? Everyone has a right to report, but the moderators decide whether it's valid and what to do about it. If the person had really been reporting something that wasn't offensive or against the community rules, the moderators wouldn't have acted on it.

  • so glad to hear u are improving :)

  • Me too, plus being a teacher on there is always tricky!

  • I'll just say again, I have never reported anyone. And I was speaking generally.

  • Fair point, perhaps. I deleted my Twitter a long time ago.

  • Well, I haven't reported anybody on here ever, so once again, you're wrong. And I would only report someone for saying something abusive, not for having a political opinion I didn't agree with.

How can you 'tell what type' I am? You have never met me. Ever. Thank goodness for that, eh?

  • aye but still the term gammon is usually used as a sluur word to racially attack white people for the colour of their skin and can be applied to any white person. is attacking someone for the colour of their skin not racist? i think it is, unless the rules have now changed again, in which case people can now make derogatory comments about brown coloured skin now then? lol

  • this is a complete lie

  • No, that is not what I said at all. This has absolutely nothing to do with left- or right-wing. It has to do with kind and unkind, and taking responsibility when your words have hurt somebody. As a teacher, this is one of the most important lessons I pass on to children in my class.

Hurting someone inadvertently does not make you a rubbish person; we all do it. Having differing opinions is good and what makes the world interesting. It's how you handle yourself when people are hurt by your words or actions that matters.

As for 'censoring' and comments being deleted or members on here facing sanctions for posting comments with certain content, that has nothing to do with me, that's up to the moderators. Even if I wanted comments to be deleted, I would have no (or at least, very little) say in it.

  • british values and culture is quite possibly very different to what the classic stereotype is now. i find we have degraded somewhat, chav culture being one massive example of degradation. our manners died and we became a more barbaric violent society.

  • Definitely not. I'd rather people be straight up. But in a respectful way. I have to teach my foreign students about British Vales....we have freedom of speech but this has to be within the rule of law. We talk about respect and tolerance for other people regardless of our differences. I don't have a problem with disagreement and discussion as long as it is done thoughtfully and is coherent. We have forum rules to keep each other safe. They need to be respected.

As for forums, these give individual's chance to pause and think "is this respectful?" before pressing send. I feel quite a lot of posts lately are very reactionary without being carefully read and checked. Some of them indeed seem to waffle on. I have posted several times and had replies but the specific content of my comments ignored. This is something I get frustrated about myself as I carefully consider what the other person has said and try to respond appropriately. But that is measuring expectation of other people against my own behaviour.

  • Have you read rule 6?

This is a hate-free zone for autistic people, their families and friends, and professionals working in the field. We do not permit sexism, homophobia, racism, anti-Semitism, religious intolerance, transphobia, disability hate speech, hate speech, obscenities or pornography to be posted or linked to here.

Maybe if you can't adhere to the rules, this place isn't for you.

  • What exactly are my people?

  • I'm not going to engage with your closed mind - there's literally no point.

  • The same happened in Britain, war imposes stringencies on businesses and individuals alike. It isn't caused by or described as socialism, it is caused by and described as 'war of attrition', or 'the Home Front'.

  • Are you attempting to invalidate me?

Not at all  - but as you have stated your 'facts' and I know mine, there's little point going forwards - I suspect we disagree to such an extent on so many things that there is no middle ground.

  • I was using 'reverse racism' in the context that people with rosacea and freckles and red hair are not races.
