More Noise Ahead

Just found out that this proposed new HS2 highspeed rail link is planned to pass within 500 yards/metres of my house. We are already set to get the biggest freight terminal in Europe, and I have some trouble with the existing low frequency noise from the motorways. Frown

  • Yes, I hope so..

    1) thanks for that idea I have downloaded some info.

    2) This is what I would most like to do but I am unable to afford it.

    3) Frown not near a train station.

I did hear a radio programme about car production where they we saying that instead of eliminating noise they could produce the kind of noise the customer wanted such as a roary engine noise for those that like to sound powerful. I shouted at the radio let him listen to a roary engine through headphones instead of inflicting it on anyone nearby.

When I came here there were open spaces around but gradually each one has got built on with something.  I wonder if "the system" produces the wrong sort of counsellors where building things gives them a sense of power and control, though to be fair there are counsellors that oppose projects as well.
