I relate to this alot.
I really do miss him, he was funny and eccentric. An electronics design engineer who loved creating things. He would do anything for anybody, was always happy and a gentle soul.
He was my first love, and I was definitely a daddy's girl.
My Dad was, he taught me that my opinion was valid, but so too was everyone else's, even when they differed from my own. He taught me to always try and see things from the perspective of others.
He also accepted my quirks for being part of me, never judged and even loved how I was different. He passed away sadly nearly 4 years ago.
Currently, the most important person to me is a friend. I can honestly say that without them, I wouldn't be here anymore.
oh wow ---- yes my mun taught me to be always be ready to be alone and to continue on. The oddest thing is i have become more social in the last few weeks i have no idea what changed me.

Me, unfortunately. Not in a narcissistic way, it's just that I'm the only one I've ever been able to rely on.
I have never had a proper friend or connected with anyone beyond a superficial level. I fundamentally don't understand human interaction. If I don't sort something out for myself then nobody else will, that's been the lesson I have learned the hard way again and again.
It is a lonely existence but on the other hand it's better than getting hurt by people.
My mum, who is autistic, is the most important person to me and i am going next weekend to see her and get her garden back in shape.
She raised me as non-autistic and encouraged me into everything which really helped me.
She came from a poor family. When she was young, had hardly any clothes, she never had shoes, or piped water, and no electricity so she is a pretty tough person.
Her only way to get money for clothes was by smuggling
