For eight years the beautiful girl pictured above worked as a Therapy Dog in schools, hospitals, prisons and elsewhere, specialising in working with people on the autism spectrum. She came from Battersea and was very special. In January, it will be three years since she died, and I think of her every day. Every damned day. We have a new guy now, also from Battersea, pictured below. They look similar but their personalities are completely different. He has been mistreated and is very wary of people, so he'll never work as a Therapy Dog. But he's loyal, affectionate and happy with us, and we love him to bits.
