I like writing, but I like to write about my thoughts. Sometimes when I need to write something like a personal statement for fellowship, I understand it is too difficult for me, as I don't know even the structure of the paper. So I'm glad there are such services that can help me.
No, I just wasn't interested in the creative writing back then I was more interested in learning about history, science and about facts. I could write fairly well but I didn't enjoy it as much as I do now. My minds shifted to more about stories, say stories about history rather than learning about the date of a battle, I will read a book about it
I can think very deeply when it comes to technical, scientific things. I was thinking about it last night after I responded I think I would like change my answer to it takes a tremendous amount of brain power for me to come up with something creative I’m the sense of poem or story and more or less copied from something I’ve seen before I’m very much 1s and 0s thinker
Me! I'm majoring in English with a concentration in creative writing. I used to write poems regularly but depression has zapped my motivation.
I am King of The Nerds. A C.Eng. rocket scientist & nuclear physicist.
Do you like mechanics then?
Good luck.
The manuals you buy to fix your own car. It's the guide to take the thing to bits and put it back together - and hopefully not have anything left over....
What are Haynes manuals?
It's brilliant that you can indulge your brain in that way.
I'm much more into Haynes manuals.
I originally thought creative writing was too abstract, but I also enjoy the sense of freedom.
I admire people who can think coherently enough in the abstract world to write stories - It's something I could never do. The blank page would taunt me forever.
But if you need a technical report, I'm your man.
Did you find creative writing difficult because it is too abstract- too much freedom? I think autism helps with creative writing as I think deeply.
Yes it's a good outlet. I didn't enjoy this too much at school but now I enjoy fiction more now I'm older. I now enjoy writing and reading fiction a lot more.
Yes, I agree. Creative writing is a means of self expression - you have a lot of freedom. I think creative writing at school is usually more structured. What fiction do you like to read?
What kind of novel were you trying to write?
