Many local colleges and self-help organisations run short creative writing courses in the evening or at weekends. The added incentive is that you will often end up talking to people of a similar ilk. If I were in the UK, I would definitely be emulating some others in my own family who have been on numerous courses of this sort. I suspect local newspapers are where you are mostly likely to see these courses advertised. Local arts centres may also run such courses.
I tried to write a science fiction story but I didn’t plan it and I got bored. What genres do you like to read or write?
The best thing to do is read some books and then you will see how the writers set their writing out. I used to hate fiction books, I was more interested in facts. But now I read mostly fiction. To start with read a book based on a subject your interested in and then after that you can keep with the same author if you like them or try someone different.
I would love to creative write just can't do it I had such a hard time at school with English ESPECIALLY when it came to creative writing I'm pretty sure it's something to do with my autism I just can't make things up like that. (not good at lying either)
:) Yes but my patience to complete a full novel to my satisfaction, even in lockdown is impossible.
